Our Story

LMC Creations LLC—short for Laura & Michael Crawford—was built from a love of fandoms and hands-on creativity. While tossing around logo ideas, Michael jokingly said, “We should call it Laser Monkey.” Laura loved it—and just like that, Laser Monkey Collectibles & Creations was born.

We set out to bring fun, affordable experiences to fellow fans. From laser-etched collectibles to our Build Your Own Saber Experience, every piece is made to celebrate the nerd in all of us.

Why we do what we do: To help fans connect, create, and feel seen—and because we genuinely love watching our customers be creative and have fun.

Meet The Nerds

Owner Laura Crawford &
Creative Partner Michael Crawford

We’re a married duo of lifelong nerds who turned our love of fandoms into a business. Laura keeps us organized, runs the show, and handles every detail behind the scenes—from planning events to making final calls. Michael is the creative spark and tech wizard, always dreaming up new ideas and solving problems on the fly.

Most of what we create comes from late-night brainstorms, road trip chats, and a whole lot of laughter. We’re just two fans building something fun—for other fans like us.

Our Son Cory

The heart of our Build Your Own experience—Cory brings energy, fun, and a smile to every event. He’s been helping since day one, running the BYO station like a pro and making sure every guest feels welcome. Whether he’s restocking parts, answering questions, or showing off saber tricks, Cory’s always ready with a saber in hand and a joke in his pocket.

Our Daughter Chloe

The soul of our customer experience—Chloe keeps our booth running smooth and every visitor feeling welcome. Her smile is as sharp as her saber smarts, and she’s always eager to help customers pick the perfect parts.

When she’s not helping at events, she’s working on her own creative projects and making us laugh with her quick wit and big personality. Chloe brings joy wherever she goes—and our booth wouldn’t be the same without her.

Our Crew Member Mak

Mak—better known around here as Mak Attack—is a key part of our Build Your Own Saber crew. From the moment a guest steps up to the table, Mak makes the experience smooth, efficient, and enjoyable. She has a talent for helping customers select parts and assemble their hilts with precision and care.

Her calm, reliable presence keeps things running smoothly even during high-traffic hours. Mak’s detailed understanding of our hilt components and her ability to guide guests through the assembly process ensures every customer walks away with a saber they’re proud to call their own.

Quality Control Supervisor Furtado

From box inspections to nap breaks, Furtado ensures every saber meets his high standards—even if he’s asleep on the job. He takes his role seriously (especially when it involves sitting directly on what we need).

Whether he’s supervising saber prep or knocking things off the workbench, Furtado keeps morale high and chaos higher. He’s more than just a cat—he’s part of the team.

Assistant Supervisor Fifi

Always up to something, Fifi brings nonstop chaos and charm to our home workspace. He’s rarely caught napping—he’d rather be climbing shelves, sneaking into boxes, or swatting at saber parts mid-build.

Small but fearless, Fifi keeps everyone on their toes (especially Furtado) and somehow manages to cause trouble and boost morale at the same time. He’s our resident rascal—and we wouldn’t have it any other way.
